In alignment with how CaliforniaвЂ™s other departments process credit and debit card transactions, DMV customers will be charged a 2.3% service fee when using this payment option at a field office. *DMV began phasing in a pilot program to allow credit card/digital wallet payments at field offices starting September 30, 2019, in Davis.

I was gonna call but seeing the other responses on this thread, I donвЂ™t think IвЂ™ll have much luck. But itвЂ™s been two months and I still donвЂ™t have my license LOL. They took 2 1/2 weeks from the time I mailed my app to process/receive my check and take the money out of my bank. With no offices open, I had no choice but to submit my application by mail. I was going to go to the DMV in mid March because thatвЂ™s wouldвЂ™ve been perfect to renew for my birthday, but the Covid shut down coincidentally happened right at my renewal period.ДЄnd that was when the DMV decided to close all offices for like 2 months or something. So because my address is non existent and no one can fix it for me (Until what I presume is the next time I move and alert them of an address change), IвЂ™m pretty much fucked. So itвЂ™s just blank on the database (hence eligibility record not found). For some reason, when I moved 8 years ago, the DMV never picked up on my new address although I changed it with them. Mind you, my license expired a couple months ago on my birthday. I have been having this issue since January. Please try to be kind to your DMV employee they really are trying their best to help you get through this!ДUDE. Honestly your best chance is to fill out the application and find a smaller office. If you did renew through mail (if you were eligible, and didn't need to take any tests or redo a photo) it will take a very long time to process, they are saying close to 8 weeks because again of the immense volume. The 800 number is severely impacted with wait times over 4 hours long because everyone is trying to call, most likely you will not get through because of the amount of calls being processed. Every day is changing for us, and is just as frustrating for the workers as it is for you guys. I would find one near by that is smaller to go to. You can renew inside the application.Дepending on your DMV and how busy they are they may or may not only take appointments. You want the one that says DL/ID application. Do not use the link that says license renewal.
